Black Barn Botanical started years ago when our lead horticulturist, Vickie Bell, decided to plant a few flowers in the family vegetable garden in rural Kosciusko County. When those few tiny seeds grew into 5 foot tall sunflowers, a love of botany really started to blossom. Vickie has now joined forces with her sister Holly to share this passion with their community.
Our goal at Black Barn Botanical is to provide Northern Indiana families with fresh flowers and produce grown with organic principles.

Currently, Black Barn Botanical will have fresh-cut flowers, pre-arranged bouquets, fresh produce, and herbs available for purchase on location at our flower cart. In addition, we’ll be spending our Saturdays at the Akron Farmers Market from 8am to 12pm.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, we plan to offer You-Pick flower options for our guests to enjoy in addition to our fresh-cut arrangements.

Our faith in God is at the center of everything that we do at Black Barn Botanical. We’re focused on growth – not just of our plants – but of our spirits, our minds, and the community where we’ve built our lives and families.
